does not work on Weber Genesis E 310

The Genesis E 310 has three side burner valves attached to a manifold. Although this valve is the proper angle of 90 degrees, the knob stem is too long and the threads to connect if to the manifold are on the outside (inside threads required for E 310 as it is a screw connector. It is impossible to see this in a photo that is not accompanied by a thorough description.

Replacement BBQ gas valve

This valve fits and works perfectly in an older Weber Genisis 1000 gas grill. The only thing needed was to drill the orifice to the proper size for natural gas. The valve comes with the LP orifice. This is an easy fix!

I picked the Wrong Valve

I probably picked the wrong valve, then ruined it trying to make it work. I needed a single valve for a Weber Spirit 3 bar grill, and they only sell the complete 3 valve manifold. If you know how I can get the single valve, let me know.

Gas valve for a 1998 Weber 1100 LP grill

Hard to find a single gas valve like this (though it is possible to find a replacement for the entire gas manifold and all three gas valves - at greater expense). This part fits perfectly on the manifold (neatly apply gas pipe joint compound). Knob fits onto it perfectly as well. The original gas orifice is threaded at a smaller diameter, and so cannot be put on, so I used the orifice that was on this replacement part, and it appears to work well. An easy fix.
