    I was originally concerned after reading the post stating the hood had to be removed. I changed out both sides in 10 minutes, EASY! Un-attach the hood one side at a time to get at the lower nut holding spring and the top one is easy. No cutting or modification required.

  2. Right spring, but wrong ends!

    I ordered these springs to replace old ones that have stretched and are no longer useful. However, when I got them, the ends of the springs have closed loops vs. "hooks" that the old springs have. Thus, in order to put the springs on, I have to completely unscrew the bolts that hold the old screws. In order to do that, I have to take the hood of the BBQ off! Not a great situation. Makes these unusable, unfortunately.
