Gas grill valves attach to the grill manifold and have an orifice on the end that goes into the firebox and includes a valve stem where the control knob goes. Once you turn on the valve, the gas will flow through the valve and orifice to light the grill.
Valves are specific to each brand and model grills.
Is your gas grill valve stem stuck?
Spray WD-40 around the valve stem and gently turn to allow the lubricant to penetrate. If this does not work, you will need to replace the entire valve.
