What Are The Best Outdoor Kitchen Brands?

When building your outdoor kitchen we always suggest buying from U.S. manufacturers to:

  • ensure consistency in manufacturing and quality
  • bring a cohesive look to your outdoor kitchen

The U.S. brands we find that are best for designing an outdoor kitchen are Lynx, a luxury manufacturer, and Sedona by Lynx, their affordable luxury line. The advantages of using these two brands are:

  • they're visually appealing
  • they're designed with great quality
  • they give you the ability to mix & match for function & cost reasons while maintaining a cohesive look

Our runner-ups are Alfresco and Artisan. We wouldn't suggest mixing and matching these two brands, but they provide great quality, and if you're on a budget, Artisan offers amazing grill options at an amazing Price!

Must Have Outdoor Kitchen Storage & Drawers

In our opinion, storage is one of the most underrated accessories of an outdoor kitchen! It may not seem as exciting as all of the cooking options you can add, but storage is a necessity that you don't want to forget about! Here's just some of the utility and convenience storage options offer:

  • Storage units that feature a door opening are key under grills & sinks, because they allow you to access your gas and/or water shut offs
  • Storage drawers are great for housing tools, spices, cleaning supplies, utensils, grill toppers, and even your trash bin and paper towels

All manufacturers offer single and double storage doors and various drawer styles like single, double and triple drawers. They are all designed with a stainless steel finish, however, there are manufacturers, like Alfresco, that offer colored doors if you're looking to add a pop of color into your outdoor kitchen.

Make Sure You Add An Outdoor Fridge

Adding a refrigerator to your outdoor kitchen can provide tremendous convenience:

  • keep your beverages, condiments, etc. cold & readily available
  • keep from taking up space in your indoor fridges
However, not all outdoor fridges are equal! When shopping for your fridge you want to make sure it's UL & CSA certified. These two entities are Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories that test appliances, and since your outdoor refrigerator will be exposed to the elements, you want to be sure that it is deemed safe for the outdoors.
When it comes to outdoor refrigeration there are numerous options to choose from:
  • built in or stand alone (most have adjustable feet)
  • beverage cooler
  • wine cooler
  • traditional refrigerators
  • drawer style

The pricing of your refrigeration can vary depending on size, options, and brands you choose. Here are a few brands we suggest:

Lynx & Sedona Refrigerators

Lynx and Sedona by Lynx are great brands to shop for your outdoor refrigeration needs.

Lynx offers a standard refrigerator with shelves, a wine fridge with slit out drawers, and a drawer refrigeration option. They also offer a variety of sizes from 15" to 24".
Sedona offers a 20” standard refrigerator that features shelves and interior door storage.

Zephyr 24" Outdoor Refrigerator

We love the Zephyr 24” outdoor refrigerator, because:

  • it's a CSA certified product
  • it contains pull out trays to easily access beverages
  • it has the best warranty we have seen

Outdoor Pizza Ovens Are A Game Changer

One of the most popular accessories being added to outdoor kitchens is a pizza oven. While this is definitely more of a luxury accessory, it's a great way to bring the friends and family together, and to create a great bonding experience. Pizza ovens can also be used for more than just pizza! You can create virtually any dish that you would in your indoor oven in your outdoor pizza oven! Here are a couple of our favorite pizza oven options:

The Lynx’s 30” Napoli Outdoor Pizza Ovens

These pizza ovens feature a specially formulated concrete heat-retaining dome, and a 400 square inch cooking surface! The most unique feature of the ovens is the cooking surface pulls forward for easy access to add last minute toppings, quick adjustments, or to remove the pizza! Some of other features are:

  • it comes in built-in & countertop options
  • it's capable of baking at 700 degrees
  • has the capacity to bake an 18 inch pie

Alfa Outdoor Pizza Ovens

For an authentic pizza oven, imported from Italy, we love the Alfa Ovens. They come in a variety of sizes, and you can choose gas or wood for that straight from Italy authentic pizza experience!

Add A Griddle To Your Outdoor Kitchen

Griddles, also known as a "cooktop" or "flat top grill", offer a larger surface area for cooking items that can't be cooked on a standard grill like:

  • hibachi
  • stir fry
  • pancakes
  • smaller veggies

Griddles are typically built into your grill, and have one or two burners that heat a solid stainless steel surface that is used for cooking on. Some of our favorite griddle options are:

Lynx Asado Built-in Griddle Grill

This 30” cooktop comes with two trident infrared burners, which combine to provide 35,000 NG/ 25,000 LP BTU.

Delta Heat Griddles

Delta Heat has some affordable luxury options with their 32” Teppanyaki grilland their Le Griddle. The advantage of LeGriddle is you can add this griddle with any appliance brand you choose.

Cook Multiple Dishes Simultaneously With A Side Burner And Power Burner

Lynx Power Burner

Lynx, Sedona by Lynx, and most grill brands offer side burners and power burners. If you love to cook a larger meal, and you like staying organized, adding one of these burners is probably right for you! Either burner offers extra cooking space but there are some key differences:

Side Burners

Side burners are an extension of your indoor stove that typically come in single or double burners. These burners are great for heating up sauces and cooking smaller dishes. They are also offered in both:

  • slide in (where the control knobs are in the front like your grill)
  • drop in (countertop)

Power Burners

Power burners are super charged side burners that feature a larger cooking surface, a higher total BTU, and they combine 2 burners into one. These burners have a smaller inner burner and a larger outer burner, and are great for:

  • frying
  • boiling water
  • preparing larger meals a lot faster
