American Fireglass 1/4 Inch Black fire glass is tempered for long-term heat consumption. It does not melt degrade or emit toxic fumes and lasts for virtually a lifetime. The price listed is for 1 lb of fire glass which is ideal for obtaining a color sample. American Fireglass can be used in any fireplace or fire pit to add a modern style to any room or patio. 1/4" BLACK FIREGLASS is available in our Classic Collection. It is a great addition to a fireplace with light colored walls which allows the magnificent polished glass stand out against the light colored backdrop. Black is our top recommended color when using LP (liquid propane) due to carbon soot that may build up over time however is not noticeable on the black fireglass.
